Rafting for Recovery: Oregon, USA
Join International Cancer Recovery Expert - Grace Gawler, and author, eco-adventurer - yoga therapist, Pip Cornall, for five amazing days that can literally save your life!
First time in USA: - August 2008 - A retreat specially designed for people who have had cancer treatment and are in remission. Suitable also for partners and carers.
This is a totally new program for people who have had cancer...that is they have had all the medical treatments etc but sit in the limbo time, as I call it - hoping and praying that it doesn't return - but fearful that it might.
Previously this group of clients have not specifically had their needs met in this way anywhere in Australian or the USA.
So our groups at Clarendon Forest in Australia, or Oregon, USA will be a first - based around the theme of "How Shall I live - Planning Life after Cancer".
This will be a real healing holiday - ideal for couples who are trying to adjust to the life changes and life altering changes that cancer can bring. This group often experience a lot of emotional and psychological suffering that can go unchecked and contribute to further health issues.
“How Shall I live - Choosing Life after Cancer” will also explore areas of healing following life altering surgery-treatments-relationship issues highlighted by illness, sexuality issues - eg post gynaecological and prostate cancer, managing fear of a recurrence, tips on how to create your new life and much more…….
Note: This retreat will also be presented in Australia throughout - 2008.
